Program Description 
Courses specific to CT are taught during the Fall semester of each year.  An outline of the required courses is included on the back of this letter.  The goals of the program are:
1.     To provide in-depth education and clinical experience necessary to prepare the student for the advanced level CT registry examination.
2.     To produce technologists who are competent in the field of CT with the required knowledge and clinical skills demanded by the profession. 

Program Requirements 
The applicant must be either a registered radiologic technologist in good standing with the ARRT or a student completing the final semester of their Radiologic Science training at the time of application.  Added consideration will be given to the student who has completed the requirements for an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Sciences from Boise State University or an equivalent program.  In addition, the following are required:

A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above
·        
Acceptance fee of $35.00 to cover the expense of a nametag and malpractice insurance.

Evidence of an annual PPD test, a positive Rubella/Rubeola titer, Varicella immunity, and current (within the last year) CPR certification.
·        
Evidence of health insurance
·        
The student is responsible to provide transportation to and from their clinical sites 

* Students unable to prove they have passed the ARRT registry by the first day of the Fall semester will be removed from the CT program and all CT courses in which they may be registered.

Application Process
Completed applications, transcripts, and reference forms must be in the Department of Radiologic Sciences at BSU no later than March 1 to be considered for the program.  The student selection process requires the applicants to undergo an interview process with the clinical instructors from the participating clinical agencies. Student selection will be completed by March 31 with classes beginning with the Fall semester. 

The student also needs to apply for general admission to the University.  Admission forms, schedule of current enrollment fees, financial aid information, and student housing information can be obtained by calling the New Student Information Center 1-800-632-6586, ext. 1820 (in Idaho), and 1-800-824-7017, ext. 1820 (outside Idaho).
