The senior year general studies emphasis is designed for the student who has
completed the three-year associate degree in Radiologic Sciences at Boise State
University. This two-semester program provides the student with some basic
concepts of health delivery and
management, and allows for upper division elective selection for nine additional
credits for the student to develop an area of interest, such as business,
gerontology, etc. or prepare for graduate school application. This non-clinical
emphasis is designed for part-time or full-time students’ needs and should
be able to be completed either during the traditional or evening time
schedule.
Prerequisites
Student applicants must be upper-division eligible, and
should have met and satisfied all requirements for the associate degree program
in Radiologic Sciences at Boise State University or its equivalent. (See
Department Chair.) Students must show proof of ARRT Registry status or have
faculty approval to enroll in RADSCI 400, Development of an Imaging Department.
Internships can be approved through discussion of objectives with Department
Chair.
Transfer
Credits
College-level courses completed at other accredited
institutions will be accepted for transfer providing the grade received was a "C" or better and are equivalent to
courses offered at BSU. Those transferring from a two-year associate degree
radiography program must:

Complete or transfer the equivalent of all university
prerequisite courses for the A.S. Radiography Program to include:
English Composition Sequence, Medical Terminology, Computer
Fundamentals, Anatomy and Physiology Sequence, Chemistry, College Algebra,
Communications, and General Psychology.

Complete all Area Core I, II, and III requirements
stipulated by the University.

Complete at least 40 credits of upper-division course
work. (No community college courses will be transferred as upper-division
equivalents.)

Complete the residency requirement of the final 30
credits toward the degree taken from BSU.
Application
Process
Each student must be accepted
by BSU and follow the admission criteria outlined in the catalog.
Submission of official transcripts to the Chairperson/Registrar will allow
evaluation for transfer course equivalency determination. Evidence must be
provided of ARRT status prior to enrollment in RADSCI 400.
